happy new year!

I hope you know I work really hard at coming up with imaginative titles for these posts for all of you (all two of you who read this!). Well, Christmas was peaceful here, but the following week, life got busy. The church office was closed, so we thought we'd head up north and visit the Brezinas for a couple of days. Traffic was unexpectedly not bad and we had a great time visiting. We spent a day just kind of hanging out and relaxing; the next day we headed downtown to the children's museum, Centennial Park, and lunch in the CNN building. That was a cold day, especially to us poor Floridians. Oh yeah, we also made a pilgrimage to the new Ikea store for Andy, who was thrilled. I'm glad we don't live near one or else we'd spend a lot of money there!

We came home late on Friday and spent Saturday cleaning up the house (we kind of exploded all over when we got home so late). Sunday, Andy's baby sister Kristi and her family came for a visit, which was a lot of fun. The kids loved seeing their cousins (that would be Dru and Chloe) again, all the more so since we don't get to see them very often.

So, I guess now it's time to get back in the swing of things, buckle back down to school work. Although we worked basically up until Christmas Day (Michael finished 100 Easy Lessons, hooray!), we took the last week off and haven't done anything, which has been kind of nice. Time to get back to phonics and all that fun stuff! Hope you all are having a great new year!
